Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of U+Me, an app by Alacrysim LLC ("we", "us"). By using U+Me you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Who can use U+Me

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use U+Me.

2. Your account and your space

U+Me creates an account tied to your email address and lets you pair with one partner into a shared space. You are responsible for the content you record and for how you share access to your device and your invite code.

3. Acceptable use

Use U+Me only for its intended personal, non-commercial purpose. Do not use it to record or share content that is unlawful, abusive, or that violates someone else's rights, and do not attempt to access another couple's space, disrupt the service, or reverse engineer it except as permitted by law.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the voice recordings and other content you create. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and deliver that content for the sole purpose of operating U+Me for you and your partner (for example, storing a recording and releasing it to your partner once you have both answered). Voice recordings pass through our servers to deliver them to your partner. Once your partner has received a recording, we remove it from our servers during routine cleanup after a 7 day grace period. A recording your partner has not yet received stays on our servers until it is delivered, or until the space or account is deleted. The lasting copies live on your and your partner's devices, and deleting the app removes that device's copies. We do not use your recordings for advertising and we do not sell them.

5. Purchase and billing

U+Me offers an optional one-time purchase ("lifetime unlock").

• Pricing is shown in the app at purchase (for example, 19.99 USD, subject to local pricing).
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase.
• This is a one-time charge. There is no subscription, no automatic renewal, and no free trial.
• The purchase is tied to your Apple or Google store account and can be restored on your devices by signing in with that account.
• Billing and any refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their store terms.
• One member's purchase unlocks features for both partners in a shared space.

6. Free tier and content availability

On the free tier, U+Me keeps your three most-recent moments; older moments fade and their server audio is removed. The lifetime unlock keeps your full history, replay, themed decks, custom questions, and bookmarks. In every tier the lasting copies of your recordings live on your and your partner's devices, and deleting the app removes that device's copies. You can export your content, including your recordings and the questions you wrote, from inside the app. Features and content may change over time.

7. Service changes and availability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of U+Me. We aim to give reasonable notice of material changes but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

8. Termination

You may stop using U+Me at any time and can delete your account and content from within the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the app in a way that harms others or the service.

9. Disclaimers

U+Me is provided "as is" and "as available". U+Me is a tool for connection and is not a substitute for professional counseling, therapy, or medical advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Alacrysim LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or content, arising from your use of U+Me. Our total liability for any claim relating to U+Me is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 50 USD, whichever is greater.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Erie County, Pennsylvania, unless your local law requires otherwise.

12. Apple and Google

If you downloaded U+Me from the App Store, the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms with the right to enforce them. Apple and Google are not responsible for U+Me or for support, warranties, or claims relating to it.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will revise the date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
